NUTRITIONAL VALUES

Protein powder in general and whey protein powder specifically are as common as sand on the beach. What distinguishes TenseUp organic whey from products commonly available?

  1. Tense Up organic whey protein is manufactured in harmony with nature. Our whey protein powder is certified organic. What does this mean? The cows that produce the organic milk, which is our raw material to manufacture our whey protein concentrate, are kept in ways appropriate to their species and spend a large amount of their lives in open fields under the clear sky, both in summer and in winter. They are fed with organic feed produced on-site. The cow’s natural development, health and vitality are the prime objectives and more important than peak performance in terms of volume output. Our organic whey protein is manufactured without the addition of aromas, flavour-enhancers and sweeteners. We also avoid using stabilisers, synthetic vitamins and minerals as well as any genetically modified organisms.
  2. Tense Up organic whey protein is neither exposed to high temperatures nor to harmful acids or chemicals during the manufacturing process, which leaves the proteins and amino acids in their undenaturated, native natural condition and preserves them. This positively affects for example, but not exclusively, the protein sub-fractions of immunoglobulin, lactoferrin, α-lactalbumin and β-lacto globulin; it is assumed that these all have important effects on health, e.g. on the immune system which can be of critical importance with respect to muscle regeneration.
  3. Tense Up organic whey protein is completely natural. It contains...
    • No sweeteners
    • No dyes
    • No preservatives
    • No aroma (neither natural nor artificial)
    • No thickening agents
  4. Tense Up organic whey is derived from ultra-filtered organic whey in a production process compliant with the EU Organic Products-Ordinance No. 834/2007 as well as any relevant ordinances amending or changing it; production involves gentle spray-drying and is free of lab-ferment. 1 Daily consumption. Guiding values based on a daily caloric intake of 8,374 kJ (2,000 kcal) for healthy adult women over age 18 with limited physical activity, who are not pregnant or breast feeding. Personal needs vary based on age, sex, body mass and physical activity.

2 The sodium content is entirely based on the presence of naturally occurring elemental sodium

We have to follow the provisions of law and current usage of official agencies in stating these “guiding values”, although it is illogical from a scientific and practical point of view to state nutritional values relating exclusively to this specific population group. These nutritional values are not a reference in a meaningful sense and your personal needs can significantly deviate.
